Prof. Dr. Önder Küçükerman, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Haliç University, stated that industrial designs are as important as a country’s national flag. Emphasizing that the objects we use in every aspect of life are products of industrial design, Prof. Dr. Küçükerman underlined that industrial products require great care and responsibility, noting: “Products are a potential source of risk. When establishing this profession, we invited professors of law, economics, and medicine, because the products we design can kill people, bankrupt companies, or harm humanity and nature. We did not approach this field as merely ‘the art of making beautiful things.’”
