The digital archive of the DATUMM project (Documentation and Archiving – Modern Furniture in Turkey), whose first phase was carried out as a Scientific Research Project by İzmir University of Economics, was shared with SALT Research this year. At the panel where the DATUMM Archive—documenting modern furniture produced in Turkey since the 1950s—was interpreted, the historical context of modern furniture, the documentation and archiving of design practices, and the impact of archives on these practices were discussed.
